Sticky notes are the best ways to actively keep up with the overflow of information, tasks, and deliverables in our daily lives while overcoming our short term attention span as human beings. I have been one of the true die hard fans of sticky notes, and I would have a hard time living without it. Sticky notes meet my need of prioritizing my objectives every day while remembering to not leave behind a deliverable, a meeting, or a task. Given the simple design of sticky notes it makes the use of it very user-friendly. However, there are pitfalls to the design of sticky notes that needs to be improved. One of the problem arises when there are many sticky notes attached to your computer, on your desk, or available electronically on your computer. The met tasks are not differentiated from unmet tasks; as a result, the notes that deserve higher level of attention get lost in the highly populated region allocated for sticky notes. This design issue is partly caused by the fact that I do not take the extra time to throw away the accomplished sticky notes from the unaccomplished notes. Another problem is that sticky notes don't stick to certain surfaces as well, therefore, falling on the floor and being removed from the region where attention is given to sticky notes.
